HE CARRIES THEM BURDENS (day by day!)
Wk 23 Day 4
Psalm 68:19
19Blessed be the Lord, Who bears our burdens and carries us day by day, even the God Who is our salvation! Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!
The Lord knows what our burdens are. It is evident in the prayer of David that God has proved this to him. God who promises to remain yesterday, today, and forever is still proving this to us even up to this point.
It has been a rough day. I have carried some heavy burdens today. To get reminded that God knows what I am going through and what I am thinking is a great sigh of relief. Indeed, I must bless [to extol as holy; glorify] His name for He carries that day by day. I do not know who else to turn to in times when I feel heavy deep within me. I believe that God is carrying my burdens daily. With this in mind, I must just praise Him for who He is - great God.
In heavy times like these, I must just remember what God has already told me in the past - He is Jehovah Shalom! My peace. He has cut that covenant with me and I will believe that He will indeed be my peace at all times. "...where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom" This "veil of confusion" is going to be taken away as I allow God to work things HIS WAY and HIS TIMING :)
:: Oh Lord, You take captive of my heart and mind right now. You know that burdens that I carry and I will believe what you have said in Your Word that you do carry my burdens. I pray that I will completely trust in YOU. I pray that Your Spirit will rest in me and give me peace. You said to not be anxious about anything but present things to You, my God. And the peace that goes beyond understanding will guard my heart and mind in Your Son Christ Jesus! I receive that peace Oh Lord, and I will just TRUST in you. Remove anything from me that is not OF You and I only want to hear from YOUR SPIRIT and not my own. Anything that is carnal - please remove it from me and just replace it with Your spirit. Oh God, let Your glory fall. In Jesus' name, amen.
