GOD
Wk 12 Day 6
Isaiah 64:4-5a (NIV)
4 Since ancient times no one has heard,
no ear has perceived,
no eye has seen any God besides you,
who acts on behalf of those who wait for him.
5 You come to the help of those who gladly do right,
who remember your ways.
2b (Amp)
But this is the man to whom I will look and have regard: he who is humble and of a broken or wounded spirit, and who trembles at My word and reveres My commands.A)">
There is a prize to those who earnestly wait on the Lord. Those who put Him first and those who have a humble, broken and wounded spirit. Those who trembles at the Word of God and heeds His commands. These are characteristics that we ought to be as followers of the Most High. We get so dragged by the so many trials, tribulations and persecutions in this world that we tend to focus on what is seen and not in faith (unseen). Yet, we know that those who perseveres the trials and tests are blessed; those who look beyond what is the now (prudent). May we continue to bless God and make Him glad by the way we are.
God is not through with me yet... I will wait. How can I please God? in humility, contrite heart and spirit, trembling, to be in awe of His Word always, to remember His ways and gladly do what is right. I know I will see the glory of God whenever He wants to reveal it. I must wait.
Lord, please give me a contrite spirit... to be always humbled by Your presence in my life. Thank you because you can do great wonders that no one has ever seen or heard. That's how great you are. The way you work is unique and you will work things out in our lives the way you want them to be. I will trust in You, always. Thank you for your comfort and for your love that surrounds those who revere Your Word. I pray that you will continually work in me and just give me a heart that will long for You. In Jesus' name, amen.
