Wk 11 Day 2
Genesis 41:32
38 So Pharaoh asked them, "Can we find anyone like this man, one in whom is the spirit of God?" 39 Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, "Since God has made all this known to you, there is no one so discerning and wise as you.
V. 32 - Problem: famine the land; shown to Pharaoh through a dream in 2 forms.
V. 36 - Solution: plan and prepare for it so it may not ruin the land.
V. 39 - Catalyst: Joseph - full of God's spirit, wisdom and discernment.
There will be problems that will happen in our lives. They are uncontrollable - a test of our faith, perhaps. Yet, through this story, God has given us a step-by-step guide on how we can "avoid" and prevent the seemingly dark circumstance to take root in us - a relationship, a ministry, etc.
I ought to be the catalyst to the problems that may arise. I need to always be full of the spirit of God - wise and discerning. To be sensitive to God's guidance and to follow what God is leading me to do. God has already given me step-by-step "manual" on what to do on certain things... I just need to continually rely on Him - not on my own. After all, Joseph the catalyst, just used his gift of dream interpretation, planning skills, wisdom and discernment to go against what was about to happen.
Practical things --
- Be sensitive to God's leading - inner witness, Spirit witness, etc.
- Test everything whether the steps we take are from God or not.
- Let the Word guide you as well.
Lord, please use me. Help me to remember this very important lesson on being a catalyst to solving a problem. Thank you for your powerful word that always takes its power to change the way I think. Lord, give me peace on certain things on how you have spoken to me. Thank you Lord, In Jesus' name, amen.
