Isaiah 37:20
20 Now, O LORD our God, deliver us from his hand, so that all kingdoms on earth may know that you alone, O LORD, are God."
Hezekiah's prayer to be delivered from Sennacherib was just profound. Indeed, it wasn't Hezekiah's prayer for them to get delivered so he will be found right in his decisions. Rather, his prayer was for GOD's name to be exalted and to be revealed to all mankind. How many of us have prayed this way before? A prayer to succeed for God's name to be made known?
I want God to be made known through the prayers that I offer Him:
- In my personal life, future and present.
- The call of God in my life
- My ministries
- My family
I will change my mindset that when I pray, I have to, right now, make it a point that it will lead to the glorification of God's name. If I pray other than that, I am just being selfish and I want it for my own gain.
Lord, in life, I pray that you will be made known by what I do and what I have decided to do. I pray that you will reveal yourself with the things you have planned out for me. I pray that my actions will lead people to know who you really are- that you provide, that you lead us to the right path when we trust in you, that you fulfill your promises. I pray that you will make me a living testimony to those around me that they may give glory to your name and will help them to also do the same. Thank you Lord for this reminder that it ALWAYS ALL ABOUT YOU! In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
