NOT PHYSICAL

Ephesians 6:12
12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Most of the time, the war we face is not against the physical realm. It is in the spirit realm. Hence, God has given us the spiritual armor of God. Praise God that He has given us these "bonuses" so we can stand our ground in times of attacks. Always remember that eventhough things may seem to be fought in the physical realm-verbal attacks, gestures, actions, etc... know that it goes beyond that. The reason why many fight against the physical is because we often forget that it is actually in the spirit realm, thus, we end up doing dumb things. Think spiritual, fight spiritual. We have the power of God.
I think about this a lot when I deal with my students at one of the schools im teaching at. Again, I must remember ,this is spiritual battle. They have things that they battle in their minds, a spirit, the devil, that is trying to confuse them. That's the reason why their lives are messed up and that's why they act the way they do. What's my application? I must just pray for them always. This is not my fight. Yes, I have some responsibilities to do, yet at the end, it is not my battle. It is the Lord's. I'm trying to "win" them to Christ by the way I deal with them and I must be wise on how I do that. I will pray for them and have compassion for them.
OH Lord, You know what's in my heart. Thank you for reminding me of this. Sometimes I do forget that it is not the kids that I am fighting against, but the spirit realm. I know the enemy is trying to "lure" me to always be mad or to get discouraged so I don't leave an impact in their lives. But that is not what you have called me. You have called me to be a light to them. I pray that in this last few weeks of school that you will help me to really love them... beyond my ability, but through you. You have spoken to me how to really just love the unlovable. When people "ruin" your day, they are not lovable! You want to strangle them, but Lord I know that you will empower me to shine my light onto them. Please give me the ability to do so and to be creative enough in dealing with them... not to "trick" them into rewards or anything, but to have them come to the reality of the good things that will come into their lives for being good children. I pray that You will use me and just make a receptive to Your leading. Thank You God, in Jesus' name, amen.
