HE DID IT.
(Sparkling Gems)

Luke 22:43, 43
And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

When there are times we think that everything around us is so overwhelming, we know that we can come to the Lord for comfort and strength that no one else in this world can offer. At times when we feel that it's so heavy for us to handle, we know that Jesus can understand what we are going through. We haven't gone to the point of shedding our blood for someone, thus our hardships are nothing compared to what Jesus went through. Thus, we know that our situations are "doable" and we'll be able to withstand it through God's strength.

Yes, there are lots of times when I feel that I just have too much; that things are really overwhelming that I cannot handle things. Yet, I know I must ALWAYS turn to God; look for Jesus and I know that His supernatural strength, peace and comfort will overpower me and my circumstance.

Lord, I praise You because you never fail me in times when I come to you during times when I think I can't handle anymore. Thank you Jesus for your example of how I should be when dealing with overwhelming tasks in life. I pray that You continually give me courage and strength to look to You and not to the circumstances around me. In Jesus' name, amen.
