PLEASE HIM.
(ODB)
1 Corinthians 5:6-9
6 So we are always confident, even though we know that as long as we live in these bodies we are not at home with the Lord. 7 For we live by believing and not by seeing. 8 Yes, we are fully confident, and we would rather be away from these earthly bodies, for then we will be at home with the Lord. 9 So whether we are here in this body or away from this body, our goal is to please him.
Sometimes because of the hardships and trials in life, we would rather just be with the Lord. However, we know that God always has His perfect timing on things. He has great plans for us to accomplish His will and kingdom work in our lives here on earth. Therefore, just as Apostle Paul said, whether we are still here in the body or not, it is our goal to please God. In whatever state we are in, the highest call is to know what makes God happy and pleased. Though we get tired at times because of life's difficulties, we know that we can trust that God is still at work in us. We live not by what we see, feel or hear in the physical realm, but rather in believing (FAITH!). Make it a goal to please Him no matter where you are in your walk with Him.
God His perfect timing in my life. I need to just enjoy every moment in my life by pleasing God. I believe that when I please God in my life, everything will just fall into however God wants to order my life. Though I will be physically tired and would rather spend my life with God in heaven, I know He has plans for me that I have not yet accomplished through His grace. I need to get through all that, finishing up with what God has started. I will please Him in everything in my life.
Oh Lord God Almighty, I pray that you will strengthen my weary body and soul. Help me to know that You are always at work within me; accomplishing things that I may not even know. I pray that You will empower me to see things beyond what is physically perceived. I pray that You open my mind to see greater things. I want to please you in everything in my life. Please lead me to do that in everything that I do. My goal is to put a smile on your face. In Jesus' name, amen.
