AND AGAIN, FAITH.

Hebrews 11:1, 7
1Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
7By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.

Faith is a strong word, yet oftentimes misunderstood and misused. How many times have we been reminded of this? Countless, perhaps. When we are SURE of what we hope for and the things we do not see (yet), then we are acting in faith. What are the things we are sure of? The promises of God in His Word are things that are sure (for sure!). Yet, have we seen all of them unfold in the world and in our lives? Not all. Probably not even half. Therefore, BE SURE for what's about to come. Losing hope is living out of faith.

My holy fear is to "save" my future by being obedient to God. I need to constantly remind myself of God's promises; how they can make me SURE of what's coming ahead. I need to consistently live by faith - not by what I feel, see, touch, smell, or even perceive. Whenever I "feel" something, it could be a reminder whether or not I am acting in faith.

Lord, THANK YOU. More than anything, you have reminded me DAILY of what I ought to be. Thank you that You never change. Your Word - ALWAYS the same. I can never ask for more! Help me to live by faith and not by sight. In Jesus' name. Amen.
