SEEMINGLY DARK.
Mark 14:35-36
35Going a little farther, he fell to the ground and prayed that if possible the hour might pass from him. 36"Abba, Father," he said, "everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will."
Even during the seemingly dark moments of our lives, we tend to pray just like Jesus did. We want "this cup" to be taken away from us - the pain, the hurts, the mess ups, the wreckage, etc... Yet at the same time, we still live passionately for God's will in our lives. Even though at times we may think that moments are seemingly dark, we must remember that we haven't gone to resist blood or have died for the sins of people. We haven't suffered as much as Jesus did. There is no comparison of what Christ has suffered for us. Our "sufferings" (intentional and unintentional) are there to teach us life lessons. Thus, we know that God may not necessarily take them away from us - not eradicating them- but going THROUGH them with Him.
I feel Jesus. My desire is still to live for His will regardless of the pain and suffering that I may go through in life. Thinking of His great plans lessens the intensity of pain. I will go through everything with Jesus - pain, sorrows, joy, happiness... everything! ALL FOR HIS GLORY and HIS WILL TO BE MADE KNOWN!
Lord, You know what's in my heart. Thank you for reminding me of this. Help me to keep moving, keep going, and to keep obeying your will in my life. Even during the seemingly dark moments of my life, I know you are going through it with me. I am not alone. Thank you for loving me. I will love you with ALL my HEART! In Jesus' name, amen.
