KEEP GOING.

1 Timothy 6:11-14
11 But you, Timothy, are a man of God; so run from all these evil things. Pursue righteousness and a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness. 12 Fight the good fight for the true faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you, which you have confessed so well before many witnesses. 13 And I charge you before God, who gives life to all, and before Christ Jesus, who gave a good testimony before Pontius Pilate, 14 that you obey this command without wavering. Then no one can find fault with you from now until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again.

Our obedience to God's commands keeps us "blameless" among other people. Not only that, it also gives us a sense of peace that we are "doing good" in our Christian walk. Although obedience to God's commands does not bring salvation to us, but it sure does give us a clear conscience when we obey it after the fact that we've already received Christ as our Lord and Savior.

What command does this passage talk about? Fight the good fight of faith... do not waver from the faith and to the commands that God has given. We have a lot of trials that come along our way. It is easy to just get distracted and waver away and not trust God for things in our lives when our situations are not going the way we think they're supposed to go. However, Paul's encouragement to Timothy is to keep going; never give up... with this, no one can find fault with you because you've never wavered in the faith.

What things in my life make me "waver" away from fighting the good fight? There's not that many. Overworking, busyness, laziness, etc... These are stuff that could be "treated and cured" easily accompanied by willingness on my part. I need to overcome the things that entangle me in this race. I need to keep focus in my thinking. No matter what's going on around me, I must not let anyone find me "at fault". I can only do this by constantly being obedient to the commands of God. I will be obedient, no matter what it takes.

:: Lord, you know me. I ask that you please empower me to be consistent in my obedience to your command. Whether it's the command to fight the good fight or to just maintain a sanctified life in you.. I ask that you please hold me and keep me focused that I may stay back on track with things again. Please guide me that I will only do what you ask me to do and nothing else. Pls continue to reveal to me what these Words of yours mean throughout this day. Pls give me peace and I ask for Your empowerment. Thank you Lord. In Jesus' name, amen.
