COMFORT.

1 Corinthians 1:3b (The Message)
He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us.

God is always the ultimate example. Whatever He does to us, He wants to us do the same (on an earthly level) to the people around us. When God comforts us, that's cause (but not only) He wants us to comfort others. Until we experience it ourselves, we will never know what it means to do something. So, God brings comfort to us so we can comfort others. Always remember, God understands everything that we are going through. Thus, He wants to give us something we need so we can give it to others who need it.

I know God will guide me through in helping those girls (SV girls). When I read this verse, it just really reminded me that at some point, God has comforted me. He allowed me to experience a lot of good things - showing me His love, so I can comfort and show love to those who also need it. I believe that they are brought my path for a reason. God knows what it is, but I will be faithful to what He will call me towards these girls. I want to have extreme compassion for them that I will love like Jesus did - unconditionally. I will do my best to be sensitive to the people that I meet. They might need my comfort, as God gave it to me.

Lord, thank you for your love. Help me to love just like you do. I pray that you will help me to discern the people that I meet - who needs that comfort. I know everyone needs it, however, I know there are those who "badly need it" at some moments in their lives. Please help me to know who they are and just instill in me compassion and love. Thank you for truly giving me your ultimate comfort. I love You Jesus. Amen.
