GET 'EM.

Proverbs 1:23
If you had responded to my rebuke,
I would have poured out my heart to you
and made my thoughts known to you.

There are many times that we have been given a rebuke, an advise, an insight, or wisdom but we didn't turn to it. Instead, we harbored our own ways, implemented what we want for ourselves and end up miserable. Proverbs reminds us that when we listen to God's wisdom, His rebuke, He will pour out his heart to us. He will make his thoughts known to us. Who has known the mind of the Lord? Yes, we have the mind of Christ. However, to have the mind of Christ we need to continually live for Christ and commune with His Spirit. If we are away from that in any aspect of our lives, then we will not be acting or thinking according to Christ's mind. Therefore, always listen to God's guidance, His rebuke, His wisdom so His thoughts will be made known to us and His heart will be our heart as well.

What rebukes have I gotten from God? Hmmm. There are many. I could say that I've listened to most of them. There are times that I am so hard-headed and still did my own thing. Even the little things, I know I must take heed because it is only then God will know my readiness in receiving His thoughts. If not, He knows that I will not be ready to receive them. Thus, I must always know what things are God telling me to stop doing or to keep doing or to actually do so I can sync my heart to God's heart constantly and to know the thoughts of God - the one who will guide me through life.

Lord, forgive me for not responding to your rebuke. Please give me strength to not do what you tell me not to do, to continue doing the good that you have asked me to do, and to actually do what you want me to do. I ask that you help me not to please myself but to always give you the control over my life's steering wheel. When there are times I struggle, it's because I know there's this war that's raging within me to do what is right. I thank you for those because I know for sure that I belong to You. Help me that the righteous things in me will always win, as it is proven that it always does if I yield to it. Please help me Oh God and spare me from choosing wrong. Thank you for your Word and I pray that you lead me to the path of righteousness in my mind, my heart and my actions. Thank you Jesus, in Your name, amen.

The Lord will keep you from all harm-
he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.
