Wisdom, any time.

James 1:5-6
5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him

6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

As the book of Proverbs talks a lot about wisdom, James gives us another assurance that God is the source of wisdom. When we are lacking in wisdom - not knowing what to do in certain situations (for that matter, in all situations of life), not knowing how to handle things in life, we must learn to ask God for it. Why? Because He will give it liberally, freely, without holding back anything. God is ready to give it to us whenever we ask. However, the condition is that we must not waver, not doubt, and just have faith. We know that God will give wisdom, therefore, we must have faith that He will give it. We must, then, be open to the wisdom that God will pour on us when we ask.

There are lot of times that I need God's direction on what to do and how to handle things in my life. I have attested to the fact that God will definitely give me wisdom when I ask. No matter how "big" the situation may sound, I know God will always provide for wisdom when I need it, and when I ask. My tendency is to NOT ask because I over analyze too many things. I must remember that God will never hold back His wisdom on me. I must continue to seek, ask, and not doubt that He will just pour out His amazing thoughts on me.

Lord, I thank you that You are so generous in giving your wisdom. Help me not to rely on my own but to always rely on your power and strength. Please give me this unction to always ask you first for wisdom in every decision I make, big or small. Thank you Lord. It's an honor to just know what you have in mind for me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
