Delayed Answer.
Exodus 3:12
And God said, "I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain."
God never holds back in revealing Himself to us. However, God has His own timing. He does things on His own perfect will and time. Sometimes, we have to carry out God's commands and instructions first before we can be revealed of God's answer to our questions. Just like Moses, he wanted to be sure if it's really God who sent him. But God, somewhat, "delayed" to answer his question because He wanted Moses to carry out His instructions first. What questions do I have that God is delaying to answer at this time?
I dont know why I thought about this while I was reading this passage earlier. Marvin was explaining to me that what he got was that the "signs" come after we do God's will. I understood that part and it made sense. However, for some reason, I saw this verse as a "delayed" answer to Moses' question for a "sign". Regardless, I will definitely carry out God's instructions in my life. what God has instructed me to do, I will do. I want to know what God is up to after I do His will and His ways in my life. I believe in faith that God would reveal Himself when He knows I've "completd" the task He has for me. I will be faithful to His calling in my life.
Lord, help me to be faithful. I want to be taken to your perfect place- Your will and the plans you have crafted for me. Thank you that you never hold yourself back from me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
