Wk 17 Day 5
Job 33:14
14For God [does reveal His will; He] speaks not only once, but more than once, even though men do not regard it [including you, Job]. (Amp)
Elihu was reminding Job how God can speak to us in many different ways. It may be through a dream, a vision, warnings, just to keep the person away from "the pit". God would do anything to speak to us - He is powerful enough to speak to us in any way He can. We just need to listen.
There are lots of times when God speaks, yet we do not listen or hear what He is saying. Remember that God wants to speak to us in any way... it's on our end that we need to communicate with Him.
When God speaks, it is clear. It is peaceful, it is the way to righteousness, away from harm, and full of love. Listen to Him and distinguish the voice of God from other voices that we think may be God's.
WISDOM - her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace. (Prov. 3:17)
>> There are times when I have this strong feeling deep inside of me that scares me of what God has said. Wisdom is peaceful, I must not feel this way. Am I condemning my own self, my heart, making my own judgments of things that I seem to think it's of God's?
>> I believe that when God speaks to me, it will be clear. Just like the call.. it will be obvious no matter how many days have passed, he will speak the same thing. I just need to test it and be open to whatever God wants to do/say.
Lord, please help me distinguish things. Please give me peace in my heart and my mind with the things you want to tell me about. Help me to just trust in You though there are times when I do not fully understand what Your word is talking about. I pray that you will guide me and be with me that I may only believe what YOU said and not others, not even myself who may be a lot of times wrong in my judgments. Thank you. I trust in YOU, speak to me and give me peace. In Jesus' name, amen.
