THEIR MOSES
Wk 14 Day 2
Exodus 3:7-10
7 The LORD said, "I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering. 8 So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey—the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites. 9 And now the cry of the Israelites has reached me, and I have seen the way the Egyptians are oppressing them. 10 So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt."
There are people around us that are hurting, in pain, in misery, in bondage, and in need. Just like the Israelites, God is concerned about their suffering and wants to free them to bring them to a land flowing with milk and honey. God has called each one of us to be their Moses. God will use us to free them. Feeling inadequate? God will empower us and equip us to carry out how God wants to free them out of their state of suffering. Just obey and trust that God knows why He's choosing us.
I know there are people in my life that are in need of a Moses. Why is this speaking to me? Because I ought to be the one for them. I have received directions on the "How" and I believe that God will empower me. Now, I just need to obey. It'll take some work, patience and lots of love but I believe it'll be worth it. Strategize things on how I can help them out of their bondage and misery. SIGH. I will go!
Lord, what an honor to serve You. I pray that you will help me to just trust why you want me to do the things you want me to do. Guide me and give me wisdom and the spirit of discernment to be able to distinguish what I ought to do. Thank you Jesus and indeed I am honored to be used by You to free people from their misery. How awesome You are! In Jesus' name, amen.
