TROUBLED? TRUST.
Wk 10 Day 4

Psalm 28:7
7 The LORD is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusts in him, and I am helped.
My heart leaps for joy
and I will give thanks to him in song.

When our hearts fully trusts in God, all our troubles vanish. We are helped. How? In various ways. The Psalmist continues that his "heart leaps for joy"... meaning, when we are helped, our heart is glad. Glad is not trouble or stressed or worried. There is peace when there is joy. Joy is beyond happiness. And the root of all is TRUST.

What does it mean to trust? To let go to give full confidence in.
How do we know we trust? When we are joyful, delighting, glad, giving thanks. (fruits of)
How can we trust more? Let go. Allow God to work on the situation by "giving up" to Him.

I trust God in every situation in my life. I'm at the delighting stage - to just enjoy where I am at and see the goodness of the Lord come about in His own time. Just as the Psalmist say in 27:14, I must:

14 Wait for the LORD;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the LORD.
Because of God's way of things, I have "given up" to Him everything of me. This is to give glory to His name. Because of such, I am going to benefit and be blessed. That's the exciting part. When God is given glory, He will spread out his blessings immeasurably! Wooh.

Lord, thank you. I pray that in my stage of delighting that you will help me to only focus on what really pleases you and gives glory to your name. I pray that you will open my mind to the glorious things that are in you. Please guide me and be with me every day that I may fill my thoughts with you alone. Thank you for your promises that never fail. My heart is glad, because my heart is filled with you! In Jesus' name, amen.
