LEGALLY
Wk 10 Day 3

Ruth 4:4
4 I thought I should bring the matter to your attention and suggest that you buy it in the presence of these seated here and in the presence of the elders of my people. If you will redeem it, do so. But if you will not, tell me, so I will know. For no one has the right to do it except you, and I am next in line."
"I will redeem it," he said.

  • Boaz could've just made the decision all by himself and kept everything for himself.
  • He did things legally; clean and smooth and righteously.
  • Because of that, he was blessed. Not only that he received the land, but he also inherited all that came with the "deal", Ruth, the Moabitess - a blessed woman!

When we do things the right way, God is going to bless us. Not only that Boaz married the great Ruth and inherited all that came with it, they also became a part of the genealogy of David. What an honor! God uses people who are pleasing to Him.

I believe that when I do things the right way, God is going to bless me and those around me. I can look forward to the great things God has prepared as long as I continue to walk in His right paths. Even though it may be hard to things the right "legal" way (because it is a narrow road), I know that great things happen because God wants to make sure that we are ready to receive it, what He has prepared.

Lord, please take away any temptations that will give me "shortcuts" to these great things. I pray that you will help me to acknowledge these "small roads to success" so I may be able to stay away from it and walk in your narrow path. I pray that you give me the power to endure and to do things the way You want things to happen. Thank you for your guidance. In Jesus' name, amen.
