RIGHTEOUSNESS
Wk 8 Day 4

Psalm 23:3b
He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

As a Christian, we are under the shepherding of our Lord Jesus Christ. He will lead us and comfort us with his rod and staff, as a shepherd would to his sheep. If we are just listening to his leading, we know that all that God wants for us is to walk in righteousness to keep his name intact. Praise God because when we desire to walk in righteousness, we can and God will guide us because He will keep his name in safety. All we have to do is heed the voice of our shepherd.

I can stay on the right path when I hear the voice of my shepherd. He will guide me to righteousness. I just need to listen.

I will heed what God has already been telling me through his word - to be self-controlled, to think of noble things, to wait, to obey his commands, etc. Every time I hear something from God, I must heed because these are my guides to the paths of righteousness.

Lord, please give me the ability to heed your voice. I pray that just like the sheep, I will just gladly follow where ever your staff and rod leads me. Thank you for guiding hand that always leads me to righteousness. I lift everything up to you in Jesus' name, amen.
