DISSENSION.

Proverbs 6:16, 19
16 There are six things the LORD hates,
seven that are detestable to him:
19 a false witness who pours out lies
and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.
We know that the Lord hates and detests (dislikes intensely) dissension (strong disagreement; a contention or quarrel; discord. Dictionary.com). We know that there are people that their "goal" in life is to just quarrel and divide people apart. Yet, for us as believers, we know that our call is higher than rebuking them (or ourselves, if we are the one causing it). We ought to correct, in love, and let them know that this is NOT of GOD. We ought to pray for the person that causes this. If it is us, in its slightest, we must rid of it immediately. The Lord hates that and it displeases God greatly.
I noticed that when I am full of myself I tend to quarrel and cause divisions among the smallest things in life. It is not worth it, and God hates it. Therefore, when this comes to my mind, I must rebuke it right away correct it. I want to only please GOD. I must always be thinking of and having the spirit of unity in every aspect. To always find ways on how I can be a catalyst to unity in the body - or any "body" for that matter. I will be the joining "force" to unity where I am.
Lord, thank you for reminding me what it means to be a catalyst to unity. I pray that you will remove from me anything that causes any sort of division, In Jesus' name. I pray that you will help me to be that bridge so people can be united again. Guide me Oh God that I may only aim for unity in every aspect of my life; whichever body I belong to and a part of. Please empower me with your Spirit that my life will only be led by Him. In Jesus' name, amen.
