WRITE IT DOWN.

Matthew 8:16-17

¹⁶ That evening many demon-possessed people were brought to Jesus. He cast out the evil spirits with a simple command, and he healed all the sick. ¹⁷ This fulfilled the word of the Lord through the prophet Isaiah, who said,

“He took our sicknesses
and removed our diseases.”

It's amazing to know that there are sacred texts that have been compiled and put together even before the time of Jesus. Praise God for the scribes who took the time and have dedicated their energy to write down the prophecies of the prophets in the Old Testament. What I saw that's really awesome about this passage is Christ's fulfillment of the prophecy of Isaiah. If they weren't written down, no one would've known that it was a fulfillment of a prophecy - what Jesus did. It would've been just a "word of mouth" that was passed along. However, because it was written down, it holds more ground and has a stronger foundation. Thus, it's always good to record things down - good, bad, confirmations, promises... so we will know when they are fulfilled.

Praise God for blogger! hah. And journals. As simple as this message is, it is indeed important to record things for future use. Personally, it has helped me see the work of God in my life because I am able to look back, when I re-read it, and see how much things have changed for the best as God wants them to be. I will be faithful in doing this. Simple task, but great rewards.

Lord, thank you for teaching me this very simple task. I have seen how you have worked in my life through reviewing what I have learned before. I pray that you will help me to be faithful and to be constantly recording what you have been telling me, that way I can come back to it and just enjoy knowing the works of Your hands. Thank you Lord. In Jesus' name, amen.
