OUR TEACHERS.

3 John 11
Dear friend, don’t let this bad example influence you. Follow only what is good. Remember that those who do good prove that they are God’s children, and those who do evil prove that they do not know God.

This passage is in context of helping out traveling teachers of God's Word. No one else supports them but the believers. Therefore, the good work that John is talking about here is to support them and to provide for what they need. This proves that we are God's children - when we do good. However, not all who do good are God's children. Therefore, if we God's children we cannot help but to do good. How have we become a encouragement, a support, and have provided for our teachers of the Word?

I will support my teachers (Pastor, Pastors, Sunday School/Children Church teachers, etc) by praying for them. I will support them by giving my help as much as I can. I will do my best to provide for what they need according to the means God has given me. With this, I will be able to prove that I am God's child.

Lord, thank you for the opportunity to serve you through showing good to my teachers of the Word. Help me not to withhold my support in any way because I want to obey Your Word. May others see my example of what it really means to be a child of God. Thank you Lord. In Jesus' name, amen.
