FRIENDS.
John 15:15-16
I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn’t confide in his slaves. Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me. 16 You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.
We are Jesus' friends! There are levels to relationships. With Jesus, we have reached the level of friendship and His lover (the church). Isn't awesome that because of our friendship with Jesus, we have access to the Father? It's sort of like a credit card system. We could use His credit card to purchase anything because of Jesus. Jesus said, "whatever you ask for, using my name." That is amazing. What are you asking God for? If you're friends with Jesus, you've got it all.
How can remain friends with Jesus? V. 17, Love one another. I will love... love... love... Even if there are times when I am so annoyed, I should still act in love. I will keep Jesus' commands and maintain my relationship with Him as His friend and His lover. Obedience to God's commands by loving and cultivating my relationship with Him.
Lord, thank you for being my friend. Thank you that I have access to Your Father because of You, Jesus. I will live for You and love You all my life. In Jesus' name, amen.
