YOUR PART and HIS PART.
Ezekiel 14:5
I will do this to recapture the hearts of the people of Israel, who have all deserted me for their idols.
No matter how far we go away from God, we know that God will always do His part to "win us back" and let us walk in His will again. Yet, we know that even if God did His part to bring us back to His path, when we ourselves are not willing and helping ourselves to get to it, God's work in us will have no effect. Not that God can't do supernatural things and just make a "miracle". However, God is always just. He wants us to also want the things that He wants for us. So, He doesn't just want to go beyond our free will or He would violate His own principles. He will always live by what He stands on - being a God of freedom, justice, free will, etc. In encouragement, we must remember that God would always do His part to get us back on track despite how far we've gone away from Him. Do your part cause God has already been doing His.
Praise God that His power exceeds my will power. I know that I can do all things through Christ. To change the things I need to change and to walk in excellence. No matter how much or how far I fall away from God's perfect will, I know I can get back on it by being willing and allowing God's power to work in me. I will let God do His job and I will do my part.
Lord, thank you for your persistent love; for your stubborn love. Truly, you never let go of me. I pray that you will keep me together in Your care no matter what comes along the way. I pray for Your Holy Spirit to guide me that my life will be filled with victory every time I take a step to get to Your perfect will for me. Thank you! In Jesus' name, Amen.
