SUPER-POWERS.

The power of the Lord was with them, and a large number of these Gentiles believed and turned to the Lord.

We know that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is POWER! Not just freedom from any bondage of sin, but also super-powers to the max :) It's awesome to know that when we learn to trust in God's power, we are able to do mighty things. How many times have we been reminded to this thought? Lots. But how many times do we actually rely on God's power so we can be more effective messengers of the Word? Not quite often. We know that the people in the book of Acts really trusted God to do the work - the Holy Spirit, not their own ability. Let's take that principle as our lifetime way of doing things - allowing the super-powers of God to move and letting go of our own abilities, talents and "strengths". If we are already doing great, Praise God. Imagine what it would be like when God controls 100% of everything that we do? We need to continually refresh our minds with this idea so we are constantly reminded of what God's super-powers can do in us, for us, for His glory.

Yes, I have lots of times that I handle things on my own. Even if at times that I say i trust God, sometimes I really don't. Why? Because I forget when things are going "ok". This is bad habit! I must constantly remember what more I can do when God is in control of E V E R Y T H I N G! I can't imagine what it's going to be like. How can I remind myself? Post-it notes. Memorize God's promises. etc. I just need to constantly remind myself that it's not through my power, but GOD'S!

Lord, I want to ONLY trust in Your power and what you want to do in my life. Forgive me for relying on my own many times - with my own limited abilities, talents and strengths. I want to be able to just let go of that. I know you will use my abilities, but I don't want anything of what I do to be coming from my OWN. I want your POWER - super power. Make me more effective by keeping me on-fire. I want to be on fire for You and I can only do that through Your amazing power. I will trust in you. Help me to do everything I can to remember that it's only through YOU I can do all things. Thank you Lord, in Your name, amen.
