Hebrews 13:7
Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.
Great leaders are worth-imitating. Apostle Paul (as obvious as it sounds), reminds us to consider the outcome of their way of life; all the good that has come from their lives; and to imitate them. We can always learn something from them. See and observe what they do and what they did so we can learn from them. Great teachers, great leaders, great role-models... We need them today in a society full of corrupt immorality. When sometimes we don't know what a great life looks like, look on to the great leaders of our lives. Follow through their ways on how they trusted God and put their faith in God. Learn from the veterans. In due time, you'll be a veteran too!
It's awesome to hear great stories from the pro's/veterans. I must always be open to their experiences and learn from their mistakes. I must look for those great leaders who I can read about, learn from, and have as a role model as an inspiration in living for Jesus. Ultimately, Jesus is my great leader, the great Shepherd, the perfect role model. I must be just like Him. I know I will make mistakes since I am only human. However, I know one day, I will be just like the pro's! I want to live my life in a way that people will also look up to me and imitate my faith. Even thinking that someone is looking up to how I live my life, already inspires me to live a great life for the King. I want to be found faithful in following God. Imitate the pro's and live like a pro!
Lord, please give me strength to live up to Your standards - just like Jesus did, just like the great leaders of the Bible did, just like other great Christian leaders. Help me to have faith that can move mountains; to live a life full of love and to always live a worthy life regardless of the cost. Only You can empower me. Please guide me and lead me in my every day walk! Thank you for Your awesome Word that never fails to speak to me so mightily. I offer you my life, daily. In Jesus' name, Amen.
