FULFILLMENT.
Psalm 138
8 The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me;
your love, O LORD, endures forever—
do not abandon the works of your hands.
Psalm 139
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
24 See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.
How awesome it is to know that the God we worship is THE Almighty! He is the God who is faithful in fulfilling His promises, fulfilling His plans and His purpose in our lives. He knows what's in our minds and can lead us to the way of everlasting. How great is our God!
Just like the psalmist, I believe that God will fulfill His purpose for my life. I will do my best and everything that I can that I will not be swayed away from the fulfillment of God's plans for me. My prayer is that God would search my heart daily and know my anxious thoughts (I have lots of those!) I need to always re-route my thinking that it will be led to the way of everlasting - joy, fulfillment, purpose, and to God's perfect will.
Even when there are times that I think the situations and circumstances around me may seem like it's going "against" God's will (just from my own point of view), I must remember that God will not fail to fulfill His plans for me. My part is to walk in it daily - through His Word, doing what the Holy Spirit convicts and tells me to do, and constantly communicating with God every moment of the day. Knowing that God's plans are the best; the perfect way to life; and not only that, He will fulfill it... *sigh*, there's no better reason why I shouldn't live for Him wholly!
Lord, please constantly search my heart. I pray that you remove from me anything that is causing me to feel anxious at times. When there are times that I feel that I don't see things going towards what I think is your will, I pray that you will redirect my thoughts to always see that you work out everything for the good (the best) of your people. I trust in You Lord. I pray that I will always rely on You, no matter what comes along the way. Please guide me and lead me to the way of everlasting. Keep my mind, my heart and my life guarded against the schemes of the enemy. Keep me strong because I want to wholly live my life for You - daily! Thank you Jesus for your amazing love. All this I lift up to You in Jesus' name, amen.
