The Curious Case of a Wise Man.

Proverbs 9:8a-9
...rebuke a wise man and he will love you.
Instruct a wise man and he will be wiser still;
teach a righteous man and he will add to his learning.

A wise person loves rebuke, loves correction. A wise man when gets instructed becomes even wiser. A wise man when taught becomes bright-er and just continues to add it to his learning. Never he becomes irritated to correction or rebuke because he knows that it only makes him wiser.

When will I be considered a "wise" man, when I learn to love rebuke and correction. When I take instructions as my guide to righteousness and wisdom. When I apply what I have learned to my wisdom-bank! Then, I must be so. I know sometimes it's hard to take correction and rebuke. It hurts our pride, because that means we lacked or have messed up. Yet, it also never said that a wise man does not mess up. Everybody messes up (Rom. 3:23). It's how we pick up our mess that matters. Love correction and rebuke; add to your understanding the teachings that you learn day by day! Then, everyone will be curious as to why you are so wise.

Be it unto me, according to your Word, O Lord! Thank you for reminding me about this. You know me and it's true that I get annoyed at times when someone corrects or rebukes me. This goes for everyone. But that is not a mark of a wise person. I want to be wise in all that I do. Help me that I will learn from my mistakes and show to others that it's possible to be wise in today's age. Thank you! I lift up to my life and everything that goes with it, In Jesus' name, Amen.

Ideas:

Navigation System - recalculates when the driver takes another route to still get to the destination; very loud when it has to keep recalculating; driver gets annoyed; turns it off.
God's Navigation - recalculates when we mess up so we can still get to our destination, God's perfect plan.

:: It's up to the driver whether or not he takes the route given by the navigating system. For the driver (in the sense of having free will), it's up to him whether on he takes the route that God recalculates when he messes up.
