Genesis 39:2; 23
The LORD was with Joseph and he prospered, and he lived in the house of his Egyptian master.
The warden paid no attention to anything under Joseph's care, because the LORD was with Joseph and gave him success in whatever he did.
What's so cool about this passage is the phrase, "the Lord was with Joseph and..." Key things to remember is that when the Lord is with us, we prosper, succeed, and have great things in life regardless of circumstances that happen in life daily. Joseph had success and was prosperous but he had his trial moments - he was in prison, was accused of something he didn't do, etc... Even with all these moments that he had, the Lord was still with Him. It reveals to us one thing: the Lord never leaves us. In every situation we are in, the Lord is with us. I'm pretty sure Joseph allowed God's spirit to work deep inside of his spirit so he will not be discouraged or distracted with what was going on around him. Don't let circumstances, temptations, normal situations become a hindrance to God's presence in our lives. Let God be in every situation that we encounter in life and we will experience great things!
I know I am really busy this quarter, and I know i have so many things I have to do. My body is tired and I wish I could just go on vacation... but I am letting God in and control my life. Whatever activity or people I need to let go, I will do it because I want to glorify God. I will believe also that GOD is in control of things and that I will prosper, succeed and have great things in life regardless what I face daily. I will not let any situation/circumstance distract me from God's presence.
Lord, please strengthen my spirit that I may be able to do great things for Your name. Help me to rely on your power and not on my own. I believe that you are with me. Help me that I will learn to do what things are more important than the others so I can effectively serve you. I let you in my life every single step of the way! Thank you God for your grace. Thank you Holy Spirit for your continual guidance. I give my life to you Jesus!!! Amen
