What kind of fruit?

Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers. -Luke 6:44

Everyone knows that the fruit bearing trees produce the exact fruit they are supposed to have. An apple cannot produce grapes, nor a guava tree with avocado. As Christians, we are fruit bearing trees. We grow to mature in our faith and become stable until it would be ready to produce fruit. What kind of fruit are we producing? If we claim to be Christ-followers, it must produce the fruits of His Spirit. People will know who we are by the way we produce this fruit in us. We ought to continually examine ourselves what kind of fruit we are producing and working hard to produce the righteous fruit. Many times, we forget who we are and just live without noticing whether we are becoming a testimony to others or being a stumbling block. Continually check our actions, our thoughts, our words and check carefully what fruit we are producing. People will recognize whether Christ is in us or not by the way we live our lives.

How tasty is the fruit im producing? I will do my best to be who God wants me to be that I may be able to produce the right delicious fruit that God wants me to have. I am a Christ-follower therefore, Christ must show in me. I will check my actions, motives, words, and thoughts to see the truthfulness of my fruit... not just a nice covering or fully shined apple. I will be true to God in everything and that means to everyone else as well. I am not a fully shined apple, I am a shiny apple in Christ!

God, may you mold me that I may produce the Christly fruit. I want people to see that you live in me. Help me to be sensitive to your call that I may obey what you are telling me to do. Help me to live in the light of your Word that everything I do will go inline with your will. I only want to follow you. Amen
