Romans 16:19
Everyone has heard about your obedience, so I am full of joy over you; but I want you to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil.

As God is pleased with the progress of our walk with Him, there is also a call for us to be able to determine the wise and the unwise things that we come across everyday. There are, obviously, things that are clear, right-out evil things... and there are also things that aren't too obvious since most of the time, they are coated wisely with "good" things. Those are the things we need to be careful of. Everything must be filtered and examine as we come across those things. Not just tangible things but also for the things that cant be seen, yet can be experienced or done. How do we become wise in knowing what is evil and what is good? Well, in today's generation, sometimes that might be a very hard task. But, being connected to the Spirit and always having the Word of GOd in our hearts, we are able to surpass the impossibilities.

As the Apostle Paul wrote to the people in Rome, he was pleased with what the people were doing at the time... how they were on-fire for God, always passionate about His word, hearing about Him, being able to share to others ,etc. Yet, he still gave them a warning to be wise on what is good and innocent on what is evil. It is possible that if we are unguarded, we tend to cater the "evil" things -whether big or small. Most of the time, the enemy knows when we are on-fire for God... then he lures us to the things that we dont know well enough . The things we are innocent on. Well, we gotta be WISE by:

Psalm 119:9 How can a young man keep his way pure?
By living according to your word.

Psalm 119:11 I have hidden your word in my heart
that I might not sin against you.

These verses go hand in hand. Being excellent on what is good -- being innocent on what is evil. After all, people who we encounter daily, seek to know what is good regardless of what what's going on around them.

Sometimes I tend to act slow on certain matters. Because of that, i tend to take the wrong actions, or say the wrong words, or become quick to what is "evil". Though it may be big or small, i must continually be thinking of the GOOD in everything. Always excellent in thinking, acting, and saying the good about people, things, and situations. Regardless what the people around me say, I must stay focused on becoming excellent on what is WISE.

Lord, may you give me wisdom. Help me to be quick in thinking, saying, and acting on what is good in every situation. Forgive me for giving in to small "evil" things that have caused me to act or say or think about the wrong side of things. May guide me continually in my walk with you that i may be ready to face anything without being moved an inch to do such "evil" things. Thank you God. Amen.
