I rejoice in following your statutes
as one rejoices in great riches.

Following God's word is as good as (or actually more than) having great riches. I remember when I get more money than any day, i get really excited thinking abou what I can buy with. Most of the time, things that I need or things that Ive been wanting to buy ever since. That excitement that I have is one of those times when you're just having a good day and no one can ruin that. Even if things arent that great around you, you just feel good regardless. Well, it should be the same when we follow God's commands. Most of the time, when we think about "oh, i have to do that as aChristian?", we lose courage in doing and being such. When in reality, when we willingly do what the Bible says, it's more than "having a good day" every day. It's way beyond the physical realm of things. We experience an unspeakable joy deep inside that no matter what goes along the way... no matter how it is to do it... no matter what circumstance arise along the way, we are able to REJOICE IN FOLLOWING HIS STATUTES. How awesome is that? To obtain endless 'smiles', follow his statutes - it's priceless!

Personally, as hard as it gets sometimes, I am willing and more than happy to follow God's statutes more than anything. It takes all of me to do that, and for me, that is what it takes to be a true follower of Jesus Christ.

Lord, i will follow YOu all the days of my life. Guide me through my struggles and difficulties in life that i will always have an endless smile on my face regardless what circumstance im facing. I am all for YOU!!! Amen
