1 Timothy 4:15a
Be diligent in these matters...

Timothy was given the task to take over Paul's mission to the Christians of different churches. He was young at the time. He needed constant reminder and encouragement to fulfill this mission that God has given him. Paul's encouragement is to be diligent...
meaning, constant in effort to accomplish something; attentive and persistent in doing anything; done or pursued with persevering attention; painstaking. This is a huge task. Without God's help, I wonder how Timothy would've gotten through all of the struggles in his ministry. But yet, he took Paul's words. BE DILIGENT in these matters... Being able to persist in doing anything towards the minsitry. Being able to persevere all the hardships that come along the way. Same way with us, the tasks given to us are blessings that makes us continue the work of Jesus Christ. We got to be diligent in the tasks that God has poured out on us. We can neglect the gift God has given us. We have to use them. We have to be a blessing to others. We cant stop proclaiming the Word of God to people. Our gifts are meant to be for the purpose of fulfilling the mission God has given all of us. We cant stay lazy... or mediocre. We need to be diligent in our work for the Lord. Even if it's painstaking, it's all worth it.

I am committed to do whatever it takes to be diligent in my work for the Lord. Though I know that there are times that I have to fight the mediocrity and laziness in my life, I will break through that because I am able to do everything through Christ's strength that makes me do extraordinary things. I will be diligent in my ministry through God's help.

Lord, may your Spirit that take over me that i may do and be who you want me to be. Forgive me for the times that I become mediocre or lazy with my work. Help me that I wont entertain those things in my life. IN JESUS' NAME!!! Amen.
