GOD'S WORD.

Psalm 119:161-162
161 Powerful people harass me without cause,
but my heart trembles only at your word.
162 I rejoice in your word
like one who discovers a great treasure.
God's Word is indeed very important! The Psalmist emphasizes in this passage that God's Word is powerful and to be treasured. Since we conveniently have God's Word with us in many forms of access (internet, hard copy, audio, etc..) we must be thankful and be rest assured that if we just respect, obey, and follow what it says, we are secure. Praise God! His Word is powerful.
I will let the Word shape and mold me to be the person God wants me to be. I will not take the Word lightly - however it is being presented to me, because it is treasure and is life changing. I need to reverence God's Word every day.
Lord, thank you for Your Word that speaks to me. Thank you for reminding me that finding your Word is like finding treasure. In this day and age, it's easy for us to forget that because we are so consumed at how convenient it is to just find this treasure. However, the treasure really rests on how much we dig it. I pray Lord that you will instill in my heart the importance of Your powerful Word. I will continually treasure it, literally and in my heart. Thank You Jesus, in Your name, amen.
