It's Own Time.
Mark 4:26-29
26 Jesus also said, “The Kingdom of God is like a farmer who scatters seed on the ground. 27 Night and day, while he’s asleep or awake, the seed sprouts and grows, but he does not understand how it happens. 28 The earth produces the crops on its own. First a leaf blade pushes through, then the heads of wheat are formed, and finally the grain ripens. 29 And as soon as the grain is ready, the farmer comes and harvests it with a sickle, for the harvest time has come.”
Everything has its own season and time (Eccl. 3:1). When we understand that life is also like God's Word, who is being planted and in due time, ready for harvest, then we don't have to keep worrying about how "things are supposed to grow". We need to remember that it has its own course. We can't rush the seeds to grow quickly or time their growth; we can't force things to grow because they must grow in its own time. Just like the farmer, we do not understand things, how they just happen. God knows and He knows everything that's best for the seed. We need to trust God and watch the seed grow in its own course. Just like Pastor's message yesterday, just enjoy what's around you right now. Everything will go smoothly in it's own time. It's just like having the right people at the right time.
I will enjoy life. Smell the roses and be still. I ought to not be thinking too much about how things are supposed to happen in my life. I need to remember always that everything has its own course. I can't maneuver things as how I want them to grow because God has everything figured out for me. I just need to trust God. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy. Have fun because there's no need to worry. Everything will happen in its own time.
Lord, please help me to trust in your timing. Guide my actions, my words and my thoughts that I will just enjoy what's happening around me right now. Help me not to look at the things that aren't present. Help me not to worry about what's not there. Guide me that I will be able to just watch "the seeds" grow. Use me and may every moment be a time of praise because You orchestrate everything in Your own perfect time. Thank you Lord for a constant 'loud' reminder of your plans for me. In Jesus' name, amen.
