Hebrews 11:13
All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance. And they admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth.

It doesn't matter what is seen, but what is unseen. Faith is truly believing in what is NOT seen with our naked eyes. If Abraham had dealt with situations based on what he had seen, he would not be considered righteous, nor be the father of many nations. He would've just been the same Abram. But yet, he took the narrow road and didn't even care about what he has seen but what God has promised him which were not tangible or seen even the smallest hint of it. Abraham considered himself an alien and a stranger on earth... not walking on how the world would see things but rather saw things as temporary and frail. It's true that we need to be thinking that life in this world is a preparation of what is yet to come. Let us continually walk by faith... not looking at things with our naked eyes but using our spiritual eyes... seeing ahead the glory of God for we are not of this world! Let us keep believing with what God has promised us and even if, like Abraham, we don't receive the things promised, God will still fulfill it. Our faith now will affect people now and people of the coming generations.

My life on earth is my preparation for eternity. I must know that whatever and however big my faith is, it will carry on to this generation and the generations to come. I will keep my faith up and know that God will fulfill all His promises in His own time!

Lord, thank you for your word and the reminder of my faith. Keep it high and I pray that I will be a blessing to the people around me and the people who are witnessing my faith. I pray that I will be a good example of faith to everyone. In Jesus' name, amen!
